Personal Transformation Rooted in Science + Soul
For some people, personal transformation means physical change. For others, it's inner healing. And for Rilee Astraea Brennan, it's both.
A poetic author, creative mystic, and somatic identity coach, she is building a movement at the intersection of science and soul, where transformation is as practical as it is mystical. Known publicly as Mystic in the Matrix, Rilee helps people reconnect to their “inner magic” through what she calls her mindset, muscles, and magicapproach — a framework that blends human behavior, psychology, and narrative work with strength-based athletics, somatic coaching, and artistic expression.
Her path is as unconventional as it is magnetic. Once a high-achieving corporate consultant, Rilee spent nearly a decade shaping narratives and leading behavior-change projects for Fortune 500s and government agencies. At the same time, she trained as a competitive athlete, obsessed with discipline and performance, leading her into a second career as a personal trainer and strength coach. But what looked like success on the outside masked an inner unraveling.
Undiagnosed autistic at the time, Rilee experienced a spiritual crisis and existential breakdown that forced her to confront her trauma and meet her shadow. In that crucible, the childhood loves she had abandoned—poetry, music, and movement as play—became lifelines for rebuilding and, eventually, tools for guiding others through transformation.
Today, Rilee fuses her 10 years of communication and behavior-change consulting with her expertise as a certified movement instructor and somatic coach to create House of Astraea, a personal transformation studio rooted in both soul and science.
She credits her husband and co-founder, Tim Brennan—an operations professional turned men’s recovery coach—with inspiring this path. Their first date on 11/11 sparked the idea that they could rewrite their lives together after hitting rock bottom.
Their “accessible transformation” approach fuses the science of strength and psychology with the soul of spirituality and somatics. Together, they offer:
Whether on the mic, the page, in the studio, or on stage, Rilee’s work reminds us all: you are the story — and you can always write a new one.
