We met on 11/11, a date that felt written in the stars. Little did we know we had been circling each other for years, pulled by the invisible string that threads soulmates together. We had matched online before, crossed paths in the same small town, even visited the same chiropractor — yet it took time, and a few detours into our own darkness, for us to finally align. 

Both of us hit rock bottom in our own ways. Tim walked the path of sobriety through AA and selfless service. I rebuilt my identity through therapy, psychospiritual study, and the healing powers of fitness. Each of us went through a death of the old self—a dark night of the soul—before emerging with a deeper sense of who we are and why we’re here. 

When we came together, we recognized a shared mission to use our lived experiences of change and recovery, and our gift of radical self-awareness, to inspire personal transformation in others.
